Brazing

Brazing powders, pastes and tinctures

When brazing, metals are joined together by means of a brazing alloy at process temperatures above 450°C. The brazing alloy melts and forms a bond between the metal surfaces. To ensure that these joints are as stable and durable as possible, the two surfaces of the metals to be brazed must be as clean and free of oxides as possible. The formation of oxides during the soldering process should also be avoided.

To achieve this, Emil Otto has developed a wide variety of brazing pastes, tinctures and powders that can be used for reliable brazing of metals. These include applications where copper, brass, stainless steel and nickel are brazed. Emil Otto products can be used for industrial applications as well as for craftsmen/trades applications and are available in different packaging sizes.
