In this interview, Markus Geßner, Marketing and Sales Manager, gives an insight into the history of the company and presents the product portfolio for different industries and applications.

In particular, Emil Otto offers quality products in different packaging units for radiator, tool and machine construction, etching, pickling and burnishing of metals, strip tinning, hard and soft soldering, as well as for crafts and hobbies. Especially the high-quality etchants developed by Emil Otto offer unique results and can be used for all metals, as well as hardened and thin-walled metals. The color created by the etching pen is permanent and can only be removed mechanically. This eliminates the need for time-consuming hammering and engraving of numbers and characters. The situation is similar with burnishing agents, all of which are intended for immediate use in metalworking. The layers created by burnishing are resistant to bending and abrasion, allowing subsequent further processing of the metal. Likewise, burnished surfaces act as an adhesion primer for other surface coatings such as paints.
